The library received an NEA Big Read grant through the National Endowment of the Arts, and we will be hosting programs at the library and throughout the community through the month of October. From their press release, the goal of the NEA Big Read is to inspire meaningful conversations, celebrate local creativity, elevate a wide variety of voices and perspectives, and build stronger connections in each community. With that in mind, we are offering many programs with community partners and worked with local vendors to obtain most supplies and prizes.

Participants can pick up a free copy of the book, The Great Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe, get a ticket for one of our one-man shows offered at the Carroll Rec Center, and pick up a punch card to work towards earning a NEA Big Read in Carroll t-shirt.
