The Carroll Recreation Center proudly serves Carroll and the surrounding communities with one of the area’s top recreational facilities. The center offers a wide range of amenities, including an indoor swimming pool, basketball courts, a racquetball court, a fully equipped weight room and cardio area, a group fitness studio, a theater, and rental rooms that are perfect for family gatherings, parties, and community events.

Please note: We do our best to keep this information updated, there may be occasional delays—especially on weekends or holidays.
Thurs, June 11: During routine water quality testing, the presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria was detected in the hot tub. The hot tub is closed until further notice, and will remain closed until state testing gives us a negative result. Because samples must be sent to the state lab, this process will extend into next week.
How you can help us prevent future closures:
Pseudomonas is a common environmental bacteria frequently introduced to water by swimmers. Please always shower thoroughly with soap before entering the hot tub. Skipping the shower introduces oils, lotions, and bacteria that strip away the sanitizing chemicals, making it much harder to keep the water clean and safe.

Carroll Area Swim Team (CAST)
Beginning April 13, CAST will be using the indoor pool at the following times for practice.

As we welcome the warm weather and busy swim days, here’s an important reminder about our Swim Band Policy to keep all our swimmers safe:
🔴 RED BAND: Children must be within ARM’S REACH of a parent, guardian, or responsible person (16+) also wearing a red band at all times.
🟡🟣 YELLOW & PURPLE BANDS: Children under 10 must be kept in direct sight by a parent, guardian, or responsible person (16+).
🚫 Failure to follow these rules may result in being asked to leave the facility.
These guidelines help prevent accidents and ensure a fun, safe summer for everyone. Thank you for doing your part!
Please note:
Swimming and water safety skills must be maintained. If a lifeguard observes that a swimmer is not demonstrating the required skills for their band level (such as swimming or treading water), the swimmer may be asked to retake the swim test or may have their band level adjusted for safety.
Participation on a swim team does not automatically qualify a child for a purple band. All swimmers must pass the designated swim test to earn a band.

Swim Band Policy
For the safety of all swimmers, children ages 15 and under are required to wear a swim band while in the pool. Swim bands indicate a child’s swim ability level and help ensure they remain in appropriate areas of the pool.
Please note:
Swimming and water safety skills must be maintained. If a lifeguard observes that a swimmer is not demonstrating the required skills for their band level (such as swimming or treading water), the swimmer may be asked to retake the swim test or may have their band level adjusted for safety.
Participation on a swim team does not automatically qualify a child for a green band. All swimmers must pass the designated swim test to earn a band.
