Starting May 1, the Carroll Public Library will begin offering two new online resources for patrons: Kanopy and Blackstone Unlimited. Currently, the library offers Freegal as a music streaming service, Kanopy will be added as our streaming service for movies and TV shows. Blackstone Unlimited offers downloadable audiobooks and will be offered in addition to the Libby app that the library has been providing for many years.
Kanopy is an online streaming service that offers unlimited viewing of movies, TV shows, documentaries, Kanopy Kids, and TV shows.
Blackstone Unlimited offers audiobooks with no wait lists and no holds. Download up to 10 audiobooks and return them as you finish them. There are 6,500 titles available now! The Carroll Public Library is the first library in the state of Iowa to offer Blackstone Unlimited, and we are so excited to be able to offer these audiobooks in addition to the offerings on the Libby app.
Kanopy and Blackstone Unlimited both require patrons to log in with their library card originally and then create an account with their email address. To utilize these services, patrons must live in the city of Carroll, rural Carroll county, Arcadia, Breda, Dedham, Halbur, Lidderdale, Templeton, or Willey and have an active Carroll Public Library card.
