Our Youth Triathlon: No School Day Challenge is a non-timed, fun-focused event designed to create an encouraging environment where kids of all skill levels can challenge themselves, stay active, and make the most of their day out of the classroom.
When: Thursday, Oct 8 @ 2:00 PM Ages: 10–15 Registration: $10 Members* | $20 Non-Members*(includes daily admission) *$5 OFF ONLINE REGISTRATION (discount comes off at checkout)
Registration Includes: A post-race snack, official race bib, and finisher medal for all participants. Plus, non-member registration includes a free Rec Center day pass for the day of the event!
Swim: Held at the REC Center indoor pool. Participants may use any stroke—even the doggy paddle! Coast Guard-approved life jackets are permitted.
Bike: The bike course will take place in the Merchant’s Stadium parking lot, providing a safe, contained, vehicle-free area. Note: Each athlete must bring their own bicycle [No E-Bikes Allowed]
Run: The event finishes with a run on the track at Carroll Stadium.
Check-In: All participants must check in at the REC Center between 1:00 and 1:45 PM
Race Divisions
Ages 12–15 First Flight Swim: 50 yards (2 laps) Bike: 5 laps (approx. 2 miles) Run: 1 mile (4 laps)
Ages 9–11 Second Flight Swim: 25 yards (1 lap) Bike: 3 laps (approx. 1.25 miles) Run: ½ mile (2 laps)
