Group Fitness Classes

Effective July 1, 2025: fitness classes will be included with a Carroll REC membership — no more separate fitness memberships or punch cards needed

Previously purchased punch cards:

  • Non-members: Any remaining punches were valid through September 30, 2025 and are no longer accepted.
  • Members: Punch cards purchased on or after July 1, 2024 may have been eligible for account credit if submitted by September 30, 2025. That deadline has now passed.

To attend a fitness class:

  • You must have an active REC membership or pay the daily admission fee.
  • All participants must check in at the front desk before class.

Note: All hours and classes are subject to change. In addition, building hours may be altered due to special events or unforeseen emergencies. We will do all that we can to ensure that you are aware of when areas are closed and/or on revised hours. However, situations may arise without prior notice. We ask for your understanding. Thank you!


Video Led Fitness Room Classes


New Classes Coming SOON! We offer Studio SWEAT OnDemand, bringing you virtual fitness classes led by real trainers. While options are available for all fitness levels, these classes are best suited for individuals with some workout experience. Beginners are encouraged to start with our instructor-led classes for personalized guidance and support.


Instructor Led Fitness Room Classes

Whether you’ve been working out for years or are just beginning your fitness journey, our instructors offer a variety of classes for all levels. Instructors can help modify movements to accommodate individual needs or limitations. Please note that in the absence of an instructor (due to weather, illness, holidays, vacation, etc.), classes may be offered in video format.


Fitness Fusion:
Blend of Pilates, yoga, cardio, and strength training. Pilates is known for increasing core strength and helping develop lean muscle. Yoga helps us with our flexibility, strength, and balance. A low-impact cardio routine combined with light weights helps get our heart rate up and helps burn calories. All fitness levels are welcome.

Class is offered Monday & Wednesday Evenings from 5:30 pm – 6:15 pm.

Full Body Strength and Mobility
A full-body workout with free weights in 45 minutes. This is a no-impact class that includes exercising while sitting, standing, and lying. Each person works within their own comfort zone. A fun class, done to music, for all ages.

Class is offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 am – 9:15 am.

PILATES
Pilates is a combination of strength, balance, and core exercises. Within this class, you will utilize a combination of bodyweight movements, free weights, balls, and bands. The class will be a combination of standing and laying on a mat. Classes will challenge you to your fitness level and proper modifications will be made as needed.

Class is offered Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 am – 8:45.

DANCE FIT
Is a full body, aerobic, workout that engages the core effectively, increases flexibility and range of motion. A variety of music genres is used to motivate you through specially designed choreography: step patterns which can be easily recognized and learned.

Class is offered Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 10:30 am – 11:15 am

YOGA FITNESS
Gentle dynamic movements to build strength and flexibility and balance towards the journey to traditional Ashtanga yoga.

Class is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am – 9:50 am

Instructor Led Aquatics Classes

Our aquatics classes are open to all fitness levels, and participants do not need to know how to swim. Instructors can provide movement modifications to meet individual needs or limitations.


FLEX AND STRETCH
This one-hour water class set to music can be beneficial to anyone. This class will increase your flexibility, and strength, and get your heart rate moving while in chest-deep water. There is no need to know how to swim.

Class is offered Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am – 10:00 am.

AQUASTHENICS
A great way to start the day is with this 45-minute workout set to music. Get your heart pumping with some calisthenics in waist-deep water. All the moves that can be difficult on land are easier in the water, but you are still getting all benefits of the moves.

Class is offered Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 am – 6:45 am.

WATER AEROBICS
(Offered during the summer months ONLY)
This blend of cardio and muscle conditioning incorporates the multi-directional resistance of water to help tone your body closer to your fitness needs. This is a great class for all ages.
