Carroll’s own local access cable channel is
seen on Mediacom cable channel 6 in Carroll
and Glidden.
The
channel is cablecast 24/7/365 from the
Farner Government Building City Hall in
Carroll. Council meetings held the 2nd and
4th Mondays of the month are broadcast live
from the City Council Chambers at 5:15 p.m.
CAAT6 is a PEG channel, meaning there is
representation from three different sectors
of the community: Public, Education, and
Government. Volunteer produced programs,
such as church services and personal videos
are examples of public programs.
The purpose of CAAT6 is community
programming: showing and telling about our
communities to residents and others in the
area. This can only be accomplished
successfully if you are involved. You
can produce programs, sponsor special
interest productions, assist in production,
or simply support the channel by watching
and providing constructive feedback.
Any not-for-profit organization can get the
word out about their service or event by
submitting videos for playback.
It’s free to put your announcement or
video on CAAT6.
You can contact CAAT6 by calling (712)
792-1000 ext. 210 or emailing:
caat6@ci.carroll.ia.us.
Also, a drop box
is located in the lobby outside the Library
for you to submit information. |
